Golfing Holidays

Courses are scattered throughout the region and you will be ideally situated for access to these, including the Indiana Course designed by Peter McEvoy, the successful Walker Cup captain, on the Desert Springs Golf Resort, and Marina Golf Mojácar, a new 18 hole, par 72 golf course of 5,464 meters, both offering a demanding challenge to any keen golfer.

Garrucha is situated close to the borders of Andalucia and Murcia so courses in both areas are within easy reach by car, i.e. the well known La Manga course is less than 2 hours away. 9 Hole Courses

Cortijo Grande Golf Course Designed and opened in 1976 by the designer Paul Polansky. The relatively flat course has its fairways lined with the citrus groves of orange and lemon trees.

Cortijo Grande Golf Club uses the Almazara Bar and restaurant which is adjacent to the course. The course is near Mojácar, just 4 kilometers from the sea, making it ideal for a day out of golfing, in the morning or afternoon, followed by drinks and a meal at the Almazara.

18 Hole Courses

Desert Springs Golf Resort The Indiana Course is an 18 hole, par 72 golf course 6,173 meters designed by the Famous Peter McEvoy, the successful Walker Cup captain. The first desert course to be built in Europe rivaling any of the now famous desert courses in Arizona or in California. With lush fairways, water features and rugged desert terrain Desert Springs is destined to become one of the finest golf resorts in the world. Here golfers are compelled to keep the ball on the fairways but can take relief from staked cacti. It is highly recommended to play this stunning course.

La Envia Golf Course An undulating 18 hole, par 70 golf course of 5775 meters with manicured fairways, tees and greens where bunkers are more ornamental than threatening. Sited in a valley amongst craggy hills and spectacular scenery this course offers a fair test of play. Challenging drives & approach shots ensures all the clubs in the bag get an airing. Relax afterwards on the large sun terrace overlooking the course for a post game analysis over an ice cold beer.

Marina Golf Mojácar A new 18 hole, par 72 golf course of 5,464 meters. The course combines flat fairways adjacent to the sea, 3 lakes which come into play and undulating terrain on the mountain side with the most spectacular 3rd hole; a testing par 5 where the tee is positioned 65 meters above & 483 meters from the green. A great test of golfing skills and an enjoyable experience plus an attractive Club House in which to swap stories after the round. A course where you feel obliged to play again if only to correct your original club selection.

Playa Serena Golf Club An 18 hole, par 72 golf course of 6,301 meters one of the most established courses in the region sited in Roquestas de Mar about 1 hour 20 minutes from Garrucha.

Valle del Este Golf Club Valle del Este Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 71 golf course of 5,696 meters about 10/15 minutes from Garrucha.
