The four nearest airports are Almeria and Malaga to the South, 45 minutes and 4 hours drive respectively, Alicante and Murcia (San Javier) to the North, approximately 2 hours drive.

Access to Garrucha is relatively easy and toll free motorways may be used on all four routes.

If you prefer a more scenic and leisurely drive then use the coastal roads for spectacular views of the coast and mountains.

Generally mid week flights are considerably cheaper than at the weekend and most people tend to choose this option.

We are flexible on booking dates and will try to accommodate your needs, but do not book flights until your booking is confirmed.

Although a car is not essential it is recommended if you wish to further explore the more isolated areas or find one of the numerous coves.

Prices for car hire are fairly reasonable and you will probably be able to hire for a fortnight for around 280/300 Euro (£200/215) depending on size of vehicle and time of year.

An hourly bus service runs past the complex between Vera and Carboneras, servicing Garrucha and Mojacar.

Airport pickups and returns may be arranged if required, prices are:

Alicante and Murcia 120 Euro (£87) for up to 7 persons

Almeria is 80 Euro (£55) up to 7 persons

A service to Malaga airport is not currently available.
